Matthew Schrebe

Attorney

Matthew focuses his practice at Bordas & Bordas on personal injury litigation and helping those injured by the fault of others. Prior to joining Bordas & Bordas, he worked for eight years as an insurance defense lawyer handling cases throughout the state of West Virginia both in state and federal court. Matthew has experience litigating cases involving workplace injuries, motor vehicle and commercial trucking accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, product liability and catastrophic losses. In 2019, he was selected as a Rising Star in West Virginia Litigation by Super Lawyers Magazine. He is admitted to practice in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. He is member of the West Virginia Bar Association, the Ohio County Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.

Matthew grew up in Wheeling having graduated from Wheeling Park High School. He obtained both his undergraduate and law degrees from West Virginia University. Following graduation from law school, he had the honor of serving as the law clerk to the Honorable David J. Sims of the First Judicial Circuit Court of West Virginia. That experience gave him valuable knowledge and insight into the operation of the court system and various areas of the law.

Matthew resides in Wheeling with his wife, Jorden, and their two young daughters. He enjoys spending time with family, golfing, attending WVU sporting events, coaching his daughter’s tee ball team and serving as President of a local youth baseball and softball organization.
