Our Community

Our team at Bordas & Bordas is proud to give back to our community in a variety of ways. Through our firm’s annual events and individual donations, we believe that helping others should and does go beyond our work. Please see below for more information on our ongoing and previous events.

Since the 2014 opening of the firm’s Pittsburgh Office, Bordas & Bordas has established partnerships with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh and Morgantown, Pittsburgh Dad, Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, The Pavilion at Star Lake and is a sponsor of events like the WDVE Rock’s Children’s Radiothon, Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association’s 5k that helps benefit the Steelwheelers, Mel Blount Youth Home Celebrity Roast, the Mario Lemieux Foundation, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Catholic Charities Pittsburgh, the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania and more.

Bordas & Bordas also has partnerships and proudly supports a number of organizations throughout the Ohio Valley, including: the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference, Bordas & Bordas Broadway at the Capitol, the Wheeling YMCA, The Wheeling Soup Kitchen, the Marshall County Animal Shelter, the Oglebay Foundation, the American Red Cross, Catholic Charities West Virginia, House of the Carpenter, the Salvation Army, the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley and more.

Sacks for Kids 2022 flyer

Proud Partner of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Sacks for Kids Program

Bordas & Bordas is a proud partner of the Pittsburgh Steelers and is proud to host Sacks for Kids for the 10th year in a row this football season! Through the Sacks for Kids program, Bordas & Bordas donates $500 directly to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh for every sack made by the Steelers defense. This gives our firm the opportunity to give back to the Pittsburgh community and families in need, and we are incredibly proud to say that we have donated over $270,000 to the Ronald McDonald House charities in Pittsburgh and Morgantown over the past few years. The Sacks for Kids program is one of our favorite programs of the year, as it is imperative to us to help local families during their time of need. The Ronald McDonald House is unique to us because not only does the foundation help sick children, it keeps families together the entire time. The comfort and support provided to families and their sick children are crucial to receiving essential medical care and recovery and healing.

“I think the reason why the Sacks for Kids program is special is that across all of our offices, whether it be our Wheeling office, our Moundsville office, our St. Clairsville office, or our Pittsburgh office, we have people from those various areas that have kids go up to the hospital and stay. This benefits the families from the region to be able to be close to their families. It’s just a way that we can give back to people in the community. People have been so supportive of our firm and us over the years. So, if we can find ways like this to give back and do it through something that we enjoy and is fun for us as the Pittsburgh Steelers, then it’s a win-win.” – Jamie Bordas, Managing Partner of Bordas & Bordas

We are hoping for a record number of Steelers sacks this year! Join us as we cheer on our favorite sports team and support an important cause at the same time! Check out this video to see a defensive Steelers legend talk about the program and learn more about it from managing partner, Jamie Bordas. Here We Go, Steelers!

Bordas & Bordas donation of $24000 to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh through Pirates Partnership

Official Legal Partner of the Pittsburgh Pirates

Bordas & Bordas is the Official Legal Partner of the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 2022, the law firm started donating $400 to the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh for every Pittsburgh Pirates win.

The law firm has been the Official Legal Partner of the Pittsburgh Pirates since 2015.

Bordas & Bordas is proud to be the Official Legal Partner of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The firm wanted to find a way to combine that partnership with an opportunity to give back to an organization that is important to those in the Pittsburgh community. The firm chose the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh because it allows us to help give support to a number of domestic and wild animals in need.

The Humane Animal Rescue serves Pittsburgh communities by offering a variety of services to support both domestic and wild animals, and the people who care about them. In addition to providing adoption, veterinary, and wildfire rehabilitation services, their mission is to provide cutting-edge resources for all animals in need.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh

Since 2015, Bordas & Bordas has been a Proud Partner of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The partnership is important to the firm in many ways, but none may be bigger than the Sacks for Kids program. Through the program, Bordas & Bordas donates $500 for every sack that the Steelers defense registers throughout the pre-season, regular season and post-season.

The $500 donation for each sack goes directly to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh, which is a facility that provides families with a place to stay when their loved one is being cared for in an Allegheny County hospital. The firm recognizes how important it is to help relieve as much stress as possible on those families who are dealing with injuries and illnesses of their loved ones. Since the program’s inception, Bordas & Bordas has donated over $270,000.
