West Virginians v. Plant Operators and Owners

When an Ohio Valley community was harmed by toxic chemicals and waste from a nearby industrial plant, they faced an uphill battle. The international corporation that owned the plant had been operating in the community for many years and making trivial payouts to the residents. People had been sickened, and their property was damaged. Bordas & Bordas got involved and pursued several years of aggressive litigation against the corporate wrong-doers. Ultimately, close to two hundred West Virginians were able to wrest a settlement of $36.5 million from the corporation and its insurance carriers.
