National Fitness Day is celebrated on May 6 this year. This day was founded by famous life and career coach, Kim Bielak, back in 2017. It’s a whole day dedicated to the importance of fitness.
Getting up and moving your body for at least 30 minutes each day is great for your overall health. Being physically active can help reduce the risk of disease, help with weight management, improve brain health, and strengthen bones and muscles.
There are many ways that you can participate in National Fitness Day, the following are just a few:
Go for a walk/jog
Sign up for a local 5k
Take the stairs instead of the elevator
Go to the park with your kids
Walk your pet
Take a workout class
Do yoga
Go for a hike
There are plenty of ways that you can get up and move your body. Doing some form of physical activity each day is a great way to boost your mood and energy levels. Take care of yourself and enjoy the weekend doing something you love!
