National Fast Food Day
We all have days where it seems we don’t have time to do anything. Whether we are taking our kids to and from activities, working or just running errands, though, we must make time to eat. And, if your days are anything like mine, you often find yourself going through a drive-thru and grabbing fast food because it’s quick, easy, and convenient.
People often think of fast food as being unhealthy, but many restaurants have added healthy options to their menu, such as salads, soups, fruits and more.
National Fast Food Day is observed every year on Nov. 16. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, fast food is defined as follows: “of, relating to, or specializing in food that can be prepared and served; designed for ready availability, use, or consumption and with little consideration given to quality or significance.” With so many fast food restaurants to choose from these days, we shouldn’t have any trouble finding something to eat, even if we are looking to make healthy choices.
So what better way to celebrate National Fast Food Day than to eat at your favorite fast food restaurant? The following are some of my favorites (in no particular order):
- Taco Bell
- Little Caesars
- Dairy Queen
- Five Guys
Also, some fast food restaurants have special offers to celebrate National Fast Food Day. So, don’t forget on Nov. 16 to check for deals at your favorite fast food restaurant. Happy National Fast Food Day!
