Baseball Season is Here
Little League baseball has begun. The kids are so excited about getting out there, being part of a team and having fun. My grandson is still at the age where it is mostly fun and not so much a competition. A lot of the older kids find themselves stressing to do their best for themselves but also because they never know who may be watching and how it may affect their future.
Last night was the first game and while grateful that it wasn’t raining, we were wrapped in blankets to stay warm – cheering and shivering. I saw something on Facebook recently about “Momsicles” – moms who faithfully sit and watch their children play in the cold. The kids love it and while we may think it doesn’t matter, trust me, when they are older it will amaze you at the things they remember.
So in these times of uncertain futures, let’s be there and encourage these kids to do their best but also to have fun along the way.
