Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, located at 640 Old Fairmont Pike, Wheeling, W.Va., is having a Blood Drive sponsored by the local Knights of Columbus #12195. It is scheduled for 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the church. You can call the Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767 or Tom Knight, Grand Knight of the local Knights of Columbus, at 304-281-6640 to schedule an appointment. Help them reach their goal of 40 pints. Please note you must be 17 years of age to donate blood. With parental consent, 16-year-olds can make a donation.
It is a great way for an individual to help save a life. The Red Cross is always looking for blood donations. This is an easy one since it is going to be held on a Saturday in June. So go ahead and do it – you or a family member may need a life-saving blood transfusion in the future.
