Petitioner appeals his sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole following his guilty plea to first degree murder. Petitioner entered his plea pursuant to an agreement in which the State agreed to stand silent as to sentencing and dismiss the remaining charges in the indictment. Petitioner argues that this guilty plea was not knowing and voluntary.
