Snow or No?
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are less than a week away, and if you’re like me, you’re wishing for snow. Something about snow on those two days makes the celebrations even more magical.
While I’ve seen a couple snow snow-covered Christmas mornings in my lifetime, I have probably experienced more 50-degree Christmas mornings. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for 50-degree weather throughout the winter, but it just doesn’t feel like Christmas when it is that warm.
According to a CBS news article, the most snow ever recorded in Pittsburgh on Christmas morning was 5.1 inches, and that was in 2020.
While it would be nice to see the snow falling outside the window behind my Christmas tree this year, it’s not sounding too promising. The Christmas Eve and Christmas Day forecasts for our area are once again 50 degrees. To play off of an iconic Christmas tune, the weather does not sound too frightful, and the fire does not sound very delightful with that predicted temperature.
Regardless of the weather, though, I hope all of our blog readers have a very Merry Christmas and a happy 2024!
