Kid Inventors Day

Kid Inventors Day

Kid Inventors Day

We all know that kids can be curious, imaginative, and creative.  However, what we don’t think about is how those characteristics can lead to some great inventions.  We hear about new inventions every day, but kid inventors are probably not the first thing that comes to mind.

January 17 was Kid Inventors Day.  After some research, I was surprised to find that there are a lot of amazing inventions created by kids. In celebration of Kid Inventors Day, I thought it would be fun to share some of those inventions.  So, here are some kid inventions:

  1. George Nissen – Invented the Trampoline at age 16;
  2. Chester Greenwood – Invented Earmuffs at age 15;
  3. Louis Braille – Invented Braille for the visually impaired at age 15;
  4. Abbey Fleck – Invented Makin Bacon (a stand to microwave bacon) at age 8;
  5. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster – Invented Superman at age 17;
  6. Frank Epperson – Invented the Popsicle at age 11;
  7. Cassidy Goldstein – Invented the Crayon Holder at age 12;
  8. Kelly Reinhart – Invented the T-Pak video game holder at age 6;
  9. Sarah Buckel – Invented Locker Magnetic Wallpaper at age 14; and

Maybe your child will be an inventor someday too!
