Free E-books for One Day?

One of my hobbies I have outside of work is reading books. I just recently got back into reading after taking a few months off. I have a few favorite female authors that are on my list right now and my “waiting to read next” pile is growing quickly! I’m not too picky when it comes to the type of book I read, I like paperback books and I also really like reading e-books on my Amazon Kindle. A friend of mine in the office also likes to read and we talk often about what book we are currently reading and recommend different authors. It helps that we like similar genres! Just the other day she asked me if I’ve ever heard of Stuff Your Kindle Day. I immediately told her that I haven’t and demanded more details right away!

Every year a website named Romance Bookworms hosts a popular event known as Stuff Your Kindle Day. Stuff Your Kindle Day is an unofficial promotion in the U.S. that offers a wide selection of free e-book romance novels for a 24-hour period. This event is held four times throughout the year and one of them is happening today, September 20! You get to keep every book you download forever, there are no returns necessary, or subscription fees involved.

I did some research to find out how to participate and snag a few downloads for my Kindle library and thought I’d share. According to my research, you want to first go to the Romance Bookworms website. One your there click “learn more” to enter the full site and then click on the tab “Free Books For One Day Only.” There will be a drop-down menu for the different devices available like Kindle, iPad, Android, or Nook. Select the one that you use, and you’ll see a massive list of free e-books that are available!

Even though this event is known as “Stuff Your Kindle Day,” it’s actually a freebie for any e-reader format, so anyone can participate! If you are like me and have a Kindle, you’ll need to have an Amazon account to access your books. You don’t need to have a Kindle device itself, you can use the Kindle app and read the books on your phone, tablet, or computer instead!

Stuff Your Kindle Day specifically highlights books in the romance genre, but I’ve been told that there are still plenty of subgenres to explore on the Romance Bookworms website. The choices are endless so don’t be afraid to check it out! I’m so glad my friend told me about this awesome day, I’m very excited to load up my Kindle and explore new authors.
