A Simple Thanksgiving Side Dish

One side dish I will be making for Thanksgiving dinner this year is smoked deviled eggs. They are made the same as regular deviled eggs, but instead of boiling the eggs on the stovetop, we will be using our smoker to cook them. The smoker gives the eggs an amazing flavor!

Deviled eggs are simple and quick to throw together. There are several different ways to make them, and the recipe always varies to taste. The following recipe is how I will be making mine.

What You Need

  • 10 hard-boiled eggs
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • paprika for garnish

How to Prepare

Depending on which method you are doing, smoke or boil your eggs and let them cool. Peel your eggs, slice them longways, and scoop out the yolks into a separate bowl. Add your mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper to the bowl and mash it all together with a fork until the mixture is smooth. I use a spoon to scoop the mixture back into the egg whites. Once all the eggs are filled, garnish them with the paprika and place them in the refrigerator to chill until you’re ready to eat.

Don’t over-complicate Thanksgiving dinner this year. Make the foods that you enjoy, and that are simple to put together. At the end of the day, it’s not about the food; it’s about spending quality time with your loved ones.
