Got a New Year’s resolution? Most people I’ve talked to don’t want to make a resolution for fear of not being able to keep it. I’ve decided to make it a “New Year’s plan” instead. I heard a great sermon on New Year’s Day that I’ve added as a reminder to my New Year’s “plan.” The message reminded us of “…the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To them, God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” - Colossians 1:26-27.
Pretty amazing to think that the God of the universe, the Creator of all things, the Savior of the world, Emmanuel (translated “God with us”), wants to dwell in the hearts of His people. My “plan” for 2017 -- “…love the Lord your God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to Him. For the Lord is your life.” -Deuteronomy 30:20. Do you have a “plan” for 2017?
