National Hot Chocolate Day

Each year, on January 31, people across the country warm up with their favorite chocolate beverage to celebrate National Hot Chocolate Day.

There are many ways that you can spruce up your cup of hot chocolate. Whipped cream, candy bar pieces, chocolate syrup, caramel, sprinkles, the list goes on! Below is a deliciously sweet recipe for a unique cup of peanut butter hot chocolate.

What you need:

• 1 ½ cups of your milk of choice
• 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
• 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
• Whipped cream for topping
• Chocolate sauce for topping
• Melted peanut butter for topping

How to prepare on a stovetop:

Add your milk, chocolate morsels, and peanut butter to a medium-sized pot. Put your stove top on medium heat and slowly stir the mixture until it’s combined. Once it’s smooth and heated, add the mixture to your favorite mug and top it with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and melted peanut butter.
