If Only The Insects Would Stay Outdoors

I am not a fan of creepy, crawly things. Bugs.  Sometimes I feel bad about flushing them down the toilet when they appear in unwanted locations within my house.  But they are supposed to be outside, not inside.

It seems like the spring and fall are the worst times for these unwanted guests to make an appearance.  Spiders, water bugs, stink bugs, beetles, lady bugs, things with antennas, things that hop when you try to squash them. Yuck.  Don’t like them in my house.  I know they are part of God’s creation and I’m positive He had a reason for creating every one of them, but I still don’t want them in my house.

My grandfather told me not to harm granddaddy long-legs because they kill other bugs.  So, against my better judgment, I let them roam my house.  I’ve had only a few in 15 years.  Sometimes I try to assist unwanted guests out of my house by offering them a ride on a piece of paper.  Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t, but at least I tried.
