Michelle is a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School. She later attended West Virginia University where she graduated magna cum laude in 1994 with a degree in Chemistry and was a recipient of the John A. Moore chemistry scholarship. Michelle attended law school at the Florida State University College of Law where she graduated magna cum laude in 1997 and was selected to the Phi Delta Phi academic honor society. She also received specific recognition for her work at Florida State in constitutional law, federal jurisdiction and the study of legal remedies.
